Founded in 2020 in Chardonne by internationally renowned conductor John Axelrod, IamBacchus is a platform dedicated to music, wine and gastronomy lovers. Inspired by the richness of the Vaudois terroir and a lifelong passion for the art of fine living, IamBacchus presents the Culinary Concerts, exceptional evenings that beautifully blend the finest musical, oenological, and culinary talents.
More than just an event, each Culinary Concert is a multi-sensory experience , where the aromas of local wines, the creativity of the chefs and the magic of live music interact in an elegant and exclusive setting. After editions in the United States, Spain and Italy, the concept took root in Chardonne, where John Axelrod is resident, with the ambition of showcasing exceptional artists and products local to the region.
Future Culinary Concerts are planned throughout Switzerland.

2022
The 3rd edition of the Culinary Concerts presented traditional Andalusian music with Una Féria de Flamenco, with the Swiss debut of legendary Spanish guitarist José Maria Gallardo del Rey and his ensemble.
2021
The second edition, entitled Poetry of Spring, featured star soprano Teodora Gheorghiu and the International Orchestra of Geneva under the direction of Maestro John Axelrod.
John Axelrod
A conductor with an eclectic repertoire and a charismatic presence, John Axelrod has led renowned orchestras around the world. Trained by Leonard Bernstein and a Harvard graduate, he combines a passion for music, wine, and gastronomy, which he celebrates through IamBacchus and his unique Culinary Concerts.

Founded in 2020 in Chardonne by conductor John Axelrod, IamBacchus is a brand and web platform inspired by a quote from Beethoven with Bacchus as muse and dedicated to presenting, producing and promoting the best of wine, food, and music.
